Europa Eyewear Names Peter Roggeman as Chief Financial Officer




VERNON HILLS, Ill.—Europa Eyewear, a leading designer and manufacturer of premium independent eyewear, has announced the appointment of Peter Roggeman as chief financial officer, effective June 1. In this role, Roggeman will lead Europa’s finance, accounting and technology functions, the company advised, partnering closely with the leadership team to support the company’s key initiatives for continued growth and advancement, including mergers and acquisitions. Roggeman will report to Megan Molony, CEO of Europa’s Eyewear Platform, and will be based at the company’s headquarters in Vernon Hills, Ill.

“Peter is a strong addition to the Europa team,” said Molony. “He brings deep experience and perspective leading financial strategy and process improvements which will be instrumental as we continue to scale the business. We’re thrilled to have him on board.”

Roggeman brings more than 30 years of experience across growth-oriented, public and private equity backed companies, Europa advised, with what the company noted is a proven track record of enhancing financial performance, improving operating processes, and building high-performing teams.

Roggeman previously held senior finance leadership roles at companies including Safco Dental Supply, Scrip Companies, Arthur J. Gallagher, Cenveo, Inc. and Abbott Laboratories. He holds a bachelor of science degree in accountancy from Northern Illinois University and master’s degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Founded in 1977, Europa offers a diverse portfolio of 12 brands, including Scott Harris, Michael Ryan, STATE Optical Co., and American Optical. In 2023, the company partnered with Blue Point Capital Partners to accelerate growth and expand its brand portfolio. This has included the acquisition of eyebobs, and the Coco & Breezy Eyewear license, as well as its recently announced distribution partnership with Cutler and Gross.

The CFO position was formerly held by Laura West.
