The average gross billings per dentist for owner dentists in private practice was more than $1 million in 2025, according to data from the American Dental Association.
Solo owners’ average gross billings per dentist was more than $200,000 higher than that of owner dentists in nonsolo practices. The average gross billings was more than $1.2 million for specialty dentists.
The ADA’s Health Policy Institute collected data for its Survey of Dental Practice.
