During a ceremony at Esnan’s headquarters, Murat Küçükkaya, vice-president of international business development and partnerships at Joint Commission International (left), presented the accreditation certificate to Dr Serdar Yenigün, CEO and vice-chairman of the board of Esnan Dental Clinics.
Esnan received JCI accreditation under its ambulatory care programme on 2 July and is now entitled to display the Gold Seal of Approval, JCI’s internationally recognised symbol of healthcare quality and patient safety. The milestone reflects Esnan’s commitment to maintaining international healthcare standards, embedding continuous quality management in its organisational infrastructure and establishing standardised clinical workflows across its outpatient operations.
The accreditation followed an extensive on-site survey conducted from 29 June to 1 July. During the assessment, JCI surveyors evaluated Esnan’s patient safety practices, clinical processes, governance structure and quality improvement systems against the applicable JCI accreditation requirements.
JCI’s ambulatory care accreditation programme applies to outpatient healthcare providers, including independent facilities providing medical, dental, surgical and other specialist care. Its standards address key operational areas intended to mitigate clinical risk and support high-quality patient care, including:
- standardisation of clinical processes and treatment workflows;
- infection prevention and control measures;
- patient safety during invasive procedures and procedural sedation; and
- governance, systematic quality improvement, and the confidentiality and security of patient information.
JCI accreditation is not limited to compliance at the time of assessment. Accredited organisations are expected to maintain compliance, monitor performance and pursue continuous improvement throughout the accreditation period. JCI accreditation typically follows a three-year cycle.
Members of Esnan Dental Clinics’ management team and staff gathered at the clinic’s headquarters to mark the Joint Commission International accreditation.
Latest development in Esnan’s international quality efforts
The JCI distinction builds on Esnan’s previous international recognition. Esnan Dental Clinics previously achieved accreditation under Temos International’s Excellence in Dental Tourism programme, receiving the highest possible score.
In June, Esnan Dental Clinics and its in-house production facility, Esnan Digital Laboratory, were named Amann Girrbach’s first Diamond Partner worldwide. The diamond tier is the highest in the manufacturer’s partner programme and involves close strategic collaboration, an integrated Amann Girrbach workflow, and structured training and education. Straumann Group recognised Esnan as its highest-volume clinic in Turkey in 2025. According to Esnan, its implant surgery team comprises 30 members.
The JCI accreditation marks another important milestone in Esnan’s pursuit of international quality standards, reinforcing its commitment to patient safety, effective governance and continuous improvement, alongside its digital infrastructure and clinical capacity.
