SAN DIEGO and MELBOURNE, Australia—LENZ Therapeutics, Inc., (Nasdaq: LENZ) a pharmaceutical company focused on commercializing VIZZ (aceclidine ophthalmic solution) 1.44%, and Arrotex Pharmaceuticals Pty Ltd. have announced an exclusive licensing and commercialization agreement under which Arrotex will register and commercialize VIZZ eye drops for the treatment of presbyopia in Australia and New Zealand. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved VIZZ for the treatment of presbyopia in July 2025, and VIZZ has been commercially available in the U.S. since October 2025.
Under the terms of the agreement, LENZ will receive an upfront payment and a significant profit share of gross margin from product sales, the companies stated. Arrotex, an Australian-owned and diversified pharmaceutical company offering an extensive range of prescription medicines across therapeutic areas, will hold exclusive commercialization rights for VIZZ for the treatment of presbyopia in Australia and New Zealand.

In January, LENZ Therapeutics announced an exclusive distribution agreement for Lunatus Marketing & Consulting FZCO to register and commercialize VIZZ for the treatment of presbyopia in the Middle East. Earlier this month, the company announced that Everest Medicines (HKEX: 1952) had entered into an asset purchase agreement with Corxel Pharmaceuticals, under which Everest will acquire the rights to develop, manufacture and commercialize VIZZ (LNZ100) across Greater China, including mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR and Taiwan. A new drug application (NDA) for LNZ100 in China was submitted to the Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE) of the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of the People’s Republic of China in September 2025, the company advised at the time, with approval anticipated in the first quarter of 2027.
