ROCHESTER, N.Y.—CooperVision, a division of CooperCompanies (Nasdaq:COO) and a leading manufacturer of contact lenses, has named Brenda Raphael as vice president of marketing, Americas, effective immediately. In this role, Raphael’s responsibilities include oversight of U.S. marketing for the company’s brand portfolio, customer marketing, and professional affairs, CooperVision stated in the announcement. The company further noted that Raphael joins CooperVision as it continues to work toward enhanced marketing capabilities through data-enabled decision making, omnichannel customer engagement and high-impact solutions.

“Brenda offers a rare combination of strategic vision, commercial acumen, and proven execution,” said Steven Robins, president, Americas, CooperVision. “Her ability to translate customer insights into growth-driving strategies will be instrumental as we continue to elevate our marketing impact and deliver meaningful value to customers and wearers. Equally important, Brenda is a strong people leader with a passion for developing talent, empowering teams, and cultivating future leaders.”

In making the announcement, the company lauded Raphael, who brings more than two decades of marketing and commercial leadership experience across global organizations including Pfizer, Bayer, Novartis, Procter & Gamble, and The Coca-Cola Company. Most recently, she served as a marketing and business consultant, advising organizations on brand transformation, growth strategy and commercialization excellence, the company advised, noting that “she has a track record of delivering growth by fostering a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous learning while building strong brands, advancing new product commercialization, and developing customer-focused marketing strategies.”

“I’m inspired by the opportunity to help shape the next phase of growth at CooperVision,” said Raphael. “There is significant opportunity to further connect with customers in meaningful ways, unlock their growth through sharper category insights, and support them with a marketing organization that is both agile and future-ready.”

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Raphael serves as board chair of the Alzheimer’s Association of the Hudson Valley and on the executive committee of The Pantry, a local food pantry, the company advised. She holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.

Earlier this month, CooperVision announced the promotion of Jennifer Palombi, OD, FAAO, to director of professional affairs, Americas, and Felicia Timmermann, OD, MS, FAAO, to senior advisor, myopia management, U.S.
