BURBANK, Calif.—De Rigo Group, a leading global company in eyewear design, manufacturing, and distribution, has announced the appointment of Benjamin Colombara as president of its North American subsidiary, De Rigo Rem, effective June 1, 2026. In his new role, Colombara will oversee the entire U.S. organization, with responsibility for driving sustainable growth, strengthening market positioning, and further developing the company’s commercial and organizational structure in one of the group’s most strategic markets, the company stated. He brings over 20 years of international commercial leadership experience across the luxury eyewear, automotive, industrial, and manufacturing industries.
In making the announcement, the company also pointed to his expertise in B2B, B2C, and distributor-driven business models, where he has successfully built and led high-performing teams across the Americas, driving operational launches, strengthening distribution networks, and delivering sustained profitable growth.
“North America represents a strategic growth opportunity for De Rigo Group,” the company noted. “Benjamin Colombara’s international experience, extensive knowledge of the eyewear industry, and proven leadership in building scalable organizations make him ideally positioned to lead De Rigo Rem into its next phase of development.”
Most recently, Colombara served as director LATAM at Thélios USA Inc., where he successfully built the regional organization from the ground up, the announcement stated. Previously, he held senior leadership roles at Safilo Group, Eyewear Designs Ltd., and Charmant USA, managing complex international territories, strengthened distributor relationships, and consistently surpassed sales and market share objectives across Latin America, Central America, and other emerging markets.
