Hoya Vision Care and Nidek Extend Global Partnership to Accelerate Integrated Innovation

BANGKOK and TOKYO—Hoya Vision Care, a world leader in eyecare technology, has announced the renewal of its global strategic partnership with Nidek Co., Ltd., a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of ophthalmic, optometric and lens edging equipment. Established in 2023, the collaboration has been renewed and will now be extended on an automatic annual basis. In making the announcement, the companies said the renewed partnership reflects their shared commitment to advancing technological innovation and delivering integrated solutions, while reflecting a growing industry trend toward the integration of diagnostic instrumentation and advanced lens technologies to enable more precise, personalized vision care.

“The renewal of this partnership with Hoya Vision Care illustrates our shared commitment to providing long-term support to ECPs,” said Motoki Ozawa, president and CEO of Nidek. “By combining Nidek’s technological expertise with Hoya’s leadership in vision care, we are pursuing our ambition to offer innovative, high-performance, and fully integrated solutions.”

“For Hoya Vision Care, this partnership represents a natural strategic alignment with an organization that shares our commitment to quality, innovative design, and long-term investment in research and technology,” said John Goltermann Lassen, CEO of Hoya Vision Care. “Both companies are rooted in Japan’s long-standing tradition of precision craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering dedication to excellence—values that define Hoya Vision Care’s DNA and form the foundation of this extended collaboration.
