PERC Launches PERC+, Expanding Member Value Through Deeper Engagement




ST. LOUIS—PERC, today announced the launch of PERC+, a new membership offering designed to help independent eyecare practices strengthen their businesses through enhanced purchasing value, strategic partnerships, peer collaboration and deeper engagement with the eyecare alliance. Under the leadership of its general manager Jason Lake, OD, PERC said it has expanded its focus beyond purchasing value by investing in peer-to-peer collaboration, developing strategic partnerships that support independent practices and creating resources that help members make more informed business decisions. PERC+ builds on that foundation by creating a new opportunity for practices to realize greater value from purchasing decisions they are already making.

“PERC has always been built on accessibility. PERC+ is how we reward commitment,” said Dr. Lake. “Our role isn’t to become everything to everybody. It’s to identify outstanding partners, negotiate meaningful value for our members, and create an alliance where deeper engagement creates better outcomes for everyone involved.”

Designed to help independent practices save more, perform better and grow stronger, PERC+ combines enhanced purchasing opportunities, expanded business resources and exclusive partner benefits for practices seeking a deeper level of engagement with the alliance, the announcement said. 

For nearly 20 years, PERC has helped independent practices improve profitability through trusted vendor relationships and purchasing opportunities. Today, as one of the nation’s largest alliances serving independent eyecare, PERC said it continues to evolve alongside the profession. “As the business of independent eyecare has changed, so has the role of PERC—expanding its mission to help practices strengthen business performance through strategic partnerships, peer collaboration, and enhanced member value,” the announcement said. 

The alliance stated it has long been committed to maintaining an accessible membership model for independent practices and PERC+ preserves that accessibility while creating new opportunities for members who choose deeper engagement to unlock even greater value through partner relationships, business resources and purchasing opportunities.

In making the announcement, the alliance said participating PERC+ partners have committed to delivering their strongest value within an open and accessible independent alliance and in return, PERC+ members can move forward with confidence, knowing they are receiving exceptional value through partner commitments thoughtfully negotiated on their behalf.

Dr. Lake added, “When our partners make a deeper commitment to independent practices, and our members choose to engage more deeply with the alliance, everyone benefits. That’s exactly what PERC+ was designed to do.”

At launch, the announcement stated PERC+ already comprises a strong portfolio of participating partners and member benefits, representing the foundation for continued growth. Throughout the coming year, PERC said it will continue expanding its network of strategic partners, enhancing purchasing opportunities, and introducing additional member benefits that strengthen the value of PERC+ for independent practices. Additional partner categories and strategic relationships are already being evaluated as part of the organization’s long-term vision for the program, the announcement said. 

“Every new partnership, every enhancement and every opportunity will be evaluated against one simple question: Does it create meaningful value for our members and strengthen the independent practices they serve?” the group said. 

As the alliance continues to evolve, PERC said it remains committed to helping independent practices build stronger businesses through trusted relationships, meaningful collaboration, and exceptional value. “PERC+ represents the next step in that mission and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the alliance and its members,” the announcement said.
