IRVING, Texas—Review of Myopia Management (RMM) has announced a live, full-day event on August 30, 2026, at the OMNI Las Colinas Hotel, Irving, Texas, designed to help eyecare professionals implement or strengthen their myopia management programs. The event combines an immersive educational session, titled Building Your Myopia “A-Game,” with three hours of COPE continuing education (CE). RMM medical co-editors, Ashley Tucker, OD, FAAO, FSLS, ABO diplomate, and Kevin Chan, OD, MS, FAAO, IACMM, will lead a practical, hands-on educational session aimed at helping attendees immediately implement or amplify their myopia management programs.
Key topics will include:
• Overcoming barriers to starting or strengthening a myopia practice.
• New treatment options in myopia management.
• Equipping an office for myopia care.
• Effective patient-parent communication strategies.
• Optimizing staff roles and workflows.
Three hours of COPE continuing education will cover essential topics every myopia management practitioner needs to know. Official course descriptions will be announced soon. Sheila Morrison, OD, MSc, FSLS, FAAO, will join the faculty in delivering the COPE-approved CE, the announcement said.
The event will provide dedicated opportunities to connect with industry partners, including networking time available during lunch and scheduled breaks throughout the day.
“We are no longer in an era where ‘wait and see’ is an acceptable clinical strategy. Let’s stop managing symptoms and start changing the trajectory of our patients’ lives,” said Dr Chan.
“The long-term risks of untreated, progressive myopia are far too concerning to ignore. We aren’t just correcting vision anymore. We are preserving it for young patients’ lifetimes,” added Dr. Tucker.
Sponsors for the event include, Silver sponsor Ocumetra, and Supporting sponsor CooperVision.
Registration for the full-day event is $59. For more information and to register, click here.
