ISTANBUL, Turkey—Silmo Istanbul will take place from November 18 through 21, 2026, show organizers have announced. The event will once again bring together brands, manufacturers, retailers and buyers from across the optical industry at the Istanbul Expo Center in Istanbul, Türkiye, for the four-day event, which organizers said has become a key business meeting for the region. Last year, Silmo Istanbul welcomed 700 brands and exhibitors, as well as 11,736 visitors from Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia, a 12.4 percent increase compared with the 2024 edition. Registration for Silmo Istanbul 2026 is open online here.
Silmo Istanbul is driven by the economic momentum of the region and Türkiye’s strategic position at the crossroads of Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, the Balkans, the Caucasus and Central Asia, show organizers said. The exhibition supports business development, encourages market expansion and facilitates connections throughout the optical value chain, bringing together the entire optical ecosystem.
Show organizers note that Silmo Istanbul will feature a Silmo Next/Trend forum, as well as a Futurology area and immersive AI experiences, centering innovation at the heart of the visitor experience. The program will highlight the technologies, materials and design approaches that are driving the optical industry forward while offering attendees practical insights into the opportunities ahead.
Silmo Istanbul Akademik will also take place throughout the four-day event, bringing together internationally recognized academics, practitioners and industry experts to discuss major transformations impacting the profession. Topics explored will include artificial intelligence, digital transformation, sustainability, changing customer expectations and emerging business models, show organizers said.
Finally, the Silmo Award Istanbul will return for its fourth edition this year, recognizing the products, brands and companies that contribute to the dynamism of Türkiye’s optical industry through their innovation, design and quality. The awards bring together manufacturers, distributors and retailers, creating a benchmark for highlighting the sector’s creativity, encouraging innovation and reinforcing the visibility of the Turkish optical market.
“Recognized among Europe’s leading optical exhibitions, Silmo Istanbul combines business opportunities, professional expertise and high-value content, making it an essential annual gathering for companies looking to accelerate their development across the region,” show organizers said in an announcement.
