FORT WORTH Texas—The Eye Consortium (TEC), a leading independent doctor alliance in the optical industry, has announced an expansion of its leadership team with the appointment of Joe Bou-Chedid as vice president of targeted growth and strategy, effective immediately. In his new role, Bou-Chedid is tasked with connecting independent practitioners with elite supplier partners, identifying key growth opportunities, and implementing scalable tools to enhance the efficiency and profitability of private practices. He will deliver data-driven growth strategies, advanced technology integration, and enterprise-level operational solutions to independent care providers, the announcement noted.
The appointment comes during a period of rapid national expansion for TEC. In June, the alliance group added 17 new supplier partners to its expanding national ecosystem. In May, the group announced the appointment of Jonathan Gonzales as vice president of strategic growth and member engagement.

Bou-Chedid brings a proven track record of building and scaling national eyecare infrastructure. As the founder and leader of Digital Enterprise Solutions, he established a nationwide network of more than 200 field technicians supporting Zeiss across all 50 states. He spearheaded the nationwide deployment of Zeiss equipment (lane and pretest systems) into hundreds of LensCrafters locations, while reducing operational costs by over 20 percent through workflow optimization and standardization, the announcement said.
Most recently, Bou-Chedid served as regional service manager – Northwest for Essilor Instruments, overseeing end-to-end ophthalmic service operations across five states.
